Hindu female teacher shot dead by terrorists in Kashmir's Kulgam

JAMMU AND KASHMIR: A Hindu female teacher has been shot dead by militants in Kulgam. He was shot by extremists in High School Gopalpora. She was admitted to the hospital in a wounded condition after being shot but was declared dead by the doctors. The security forces have taken the entire area under their control.

Police said, Hindu teacher, identified as Rajni wife of Raj Kumar of Samba district in the Jammu division, was fired upon by militants in Gopalpora high school of Kulgam district.

In the same month, another Kashmiri Pandit named Rahul Bhatt was murdered by extremists. Apart from this, three policemen were also killed. On August 5, 2019, the Government of India abolished the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, ambush attacks on Kashmiri Pandits have increased.

Tweeting from the official Twitter handle of Kashmir Zone Police, it has been said, "Injured lady teacher, a Hindu & resident of Samba (Jammu division) succumbed to her injuries. Terrorists involved in this gruesome terror crime will be soon identified & neutralised".
