NAKODAR The Mehat Pur police have arrested two persons and booked two others on the charge of stealing from a gurdwara building.
The investigating officer (IO) Bhupindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Ashok alias Mita son of Aijik Masih and Rakesh Bhundi son of Bittu residents of Bagga village in Shahkot.
Baljindar Singh a resident of Udhowal village and president of Gobind Marg Charitable Trust Buland Puri Sahib Bulanda village complained to the police that the accused and their accomplices stole 30 iron shuttering plates from the new building of gurdwara.
IO said a case under sections 379 (theft) and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and Kamal and Happy of Bagga village who are absconding.
The Nakodar police arrested three thieves Manprit Singh a resident of Bal Nau village, Rohit of Akbar Pur Kalan village and Vijay of Danewal village in Shahkot for stealing from a house said IO Sukhwant Singh .
