MUMBAI: After suspected cross-MLC elections in Maharashtra, prominent Shiv Sena leader and state cabinet Minister Eknath Shinde has suddenly disappeared with 11 MLAs and he is not able to be contacted. Before the elections, there was talk that the relationship between Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde was not going well.
As per the sources, Shinde along with 11 MLAs moved to the hotel in Surat in Gujarat, raising concerns in Maharashtra's ruling alliance, the Maha Vikas Aghadi.
Uddhav Thackeray has called a meeting at 12 o'clock on Tuesday and Eknath Shinde can also hold a press conference during the same time.
It is being told that Eknath Shinde is running angry since Monday evening. As soon as Shinde and the MLAs could not be contacted, a meeting of other MLAs was held at the Chief Minister's official residence in which MLAs from Mumbai and adjoining areas attended. This meeting lasted till about two o'clock in the night.
Shiv Sena leader Neelam Gode said that rumours should not be trusted. He said, "Eknath Shinde has been our colleague for many years.
