Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut dropped hints that the Maharashtra Assembly would be dissolved amid the ongoing political crisis in the state. He has said on the ongoing turmoil in Maharashtra Assembly that ‘what will happen at most, power will go away’.
Talking to reporters, he said, “Eknath Shinde is our very old party member, our friend. We have worked together for decades. It is neither easy for them nor for us to leave each other. I have spoken to him this morning and informed the party chief about it."
Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut has tweeted and written that “The journey of political developments in Maharashtra is heading towards the dismissal of Vidhan Sabha.”
Raut claimed that talks are going on with all the MLAs who are with Eknath Shinde. Everyone will remain in Shiv Sena.
Raut said, “Our party is a warrior party, we will fight continuously. At the most, we will lose power but we will continue to fight."
The political crisis in Maharashtra emerged on June 21, when Sena leader Eknath Shinde, along with rebel MLAs holed themselves up at a hotel in Gujarat’s Surat.
Eknath Shinde claims 40 MLAs are with him
