NAKODAR The Nakodar city police have booked two food -civil supply inspectors posted at Nakodar for embezzling wheat stored in the government godowns.

The investigating officer (IO) Mandip Singh said that the accused have been identified as inspectors Daljit Singh and Sukhjindar Singh posted at Nakodar food- civil supplies office.

Controller food and civil supplies department Jalandhar Rahul Bassi complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police complained to the police that the accused embezzled wheat stored in the government godowns and during checking of stores 6043.1 quintals of wheat was found less.

IO said a case under sections 419(punishment for cheating by personation.) 420(cheating) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
