Barnala: Sandeep Kumar Malik, Senior Captain, IPS, Barnala Police, while briefing the press, said that Under the anti-drug drive launched by Barnala Police, Sub-Inspector Sarif Khan, CIA Staff, Barnala filed case No. 275 dated 19-6-2022 under Section 22, 25 / 61/85 ND and PSCT City Barnala against Navdeep Goyal alias Tony s/o Nek Chand resident Shaheed Jita Singh Nagar near Court Chowk Barnala and Binder Singh Son of Sukhdev Singh resident of Pukka College Road Barnala has been registered.

During the investigation, Sub-Inspector Kuldeep Singh in charge of CIA staff Barnala arrested Binder Singh and Navdeep Goyal of the police party along with 1,59,900 drug capsules, 3200 drug pills, 1 lakh 3 thousand drug money, and Creta vehicle number PB. 19 T-0097 color white has been recovered. 

Deepak Kumar, son of Ravi Chand, resident of Ward No. 19, Veer Nagar, Mansa, was arrested on 30-6-2022 by Sub Inspector Kuldeep Singh in charge of CIA Staff Barnala along with the police party. A total of 1,54,350 drug capsules were recovered from him. 

Deepak Kumar is being questioned in-depth, and more important revelations are likely.

The total recovery so far in the trial includes 3,14,250 capsules, 3,200 drug pills, 1.3 million drug money, and a Creta vehicle number PB-19T-0097 white. Accused Deepak Kumar Jai Sarada runs a medical center in Mansa.  

The capsules were transported from Gujarat to Barnala and from there to Deepak Kumar near Mansa. Accused Deepak Kumar has already been registered under NDPS Act Case No. 165 dated 20-7-2010 under Section 22/61/85 NDPS Act Mansa Police Station, in which the accused Deepak Kumar has been sentenced to 10 years by the Hon'ble Court which He has been out on bail since January 2017.

Accused Deepak Kumar said during his interrogation that in January 2022, he was also fined by Drug Inspector Mansa after checking his medical store.

Under this campaign case No. 300 dated 4-7-2022 was registered under Section 21,22 / 61/85 NDPS Act Police Station City Barnala against Gelo Kaur alias Gelo wife of Jassi Singh resident of Backside Bus Stand, Barnala.

Accused Gelo Kaur was arrested and 100 drug pills, the color white and 260 grams of drug powder color white were recovered from her, the case is under investigation.
