Woman among four booked for murder

Nakodar : The Mehatpur police have booked four persons including a woman on charges of murder.

Investigating officer(IO) Gurwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Kiranjot Kaur,Rakesh Kumaralias Kesha,Lovepreet Singh alias Manga and Gurpreet Singh alias Laadi all residents of Khurla Pur village.

Gurbachan Singh said that the accused murdered his son Harwindar Singh on August 4 night as the deceased was objecting to illicit relationship between his sister –in –law Kiranjot Kaur and Rakesh Kumar alias Keshi.

IO said that the accused strangulated Harwindar Singh and cremated his body on August 5.He said a case under sections 302(murder) 201(causing disappearance of evidence of offence) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the ipc has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab absconding accused.
