CT Group hosted the training session on CCTNS for Jalandhar Police Personnel

JALANDHAR: Sh. P.K. Sinha (Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar) stated here today that the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate launched a mobile-based Crime and Criminal tracking Network System (CCTNS) application and can be downloaded free on any smart phone powered by Android by the Police Personnel at their Police Stations. Sh. Sinha informed the police personnel during the training session about the techniques and usage of the application hosted by CT Group of Institutions at its Maqsudan Campus.

The officials at the workshop exclusively spoke on how to upload details of First lnvestigation Report (FIR), arrests warrants and charge sheet apart from how to tackle various issues in the process of investigation through ccTNS by Trainers of TCS sh. sumit Mittal and Sh. Amandeep Sharma.

Addressing the police officials, Sh. P.K. Sinha, IPS (Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar), said as soon as entering the name of a criminal, after nabbing him under any police station' the total information of that person and the crimes he committed across the country (if any) would be displayed on the computer screen.

Through CCTNS project, the details of every complaint, missing cases and the photos of unidentified dead bodies could be uploaded to make the investigation process easy, said the top cop' adding that necessary steps would be taken using the modern technology to provide better services to people.

The initiative will be extremely helpful to people seeking police help in case of any panic situation/emergency arising out of crimes like stalking, domestic violence, sexual harassment, theft. Such an application will help the police personnel to register their FIR complaints online through this app which would make the tracking process easier and quick.

The Commissioner of Police Sh. Parveen Kumar Sinha said that today every citizen is concerned about his/her safety & security of the people. With anxiety, stress, crime and violence rising in our day today lives, this app aims to curb such crime issue on a quick basis. At the same time, the application will decrease the manual work. He said, “Out next step is to make the application for the people also as People Portal where they will be able to address their complaints and queries regarding any issue but for the time being we would work on this application for people’s security and safety.”

S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) and Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami (Director, CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan Campus) appreciated Commissioner of Police Sh. Parveen Kumar Sinha for organizing such training session for the police personnel. He said that such sessions will motivate them to curb crime.
