.A survey of the post poll environment in this border district of Gurdaspur reveled that the election offices and party offices wore a desert look .the (tents) were still there but the chairs could be scene  pilled in a corner as almost candidates have turned their residents as camps. Meeting the party members, training the counting agents and congregation of supporters frequently their residents there was still no time to take life easy.

In the mostly polling booths, the polling staff was seen sitting idea as there was inability of zeal in voters as they were remaing in their houses till afternoon but spirit of vote were seen in the youth who were seen standing in line in the polling booths from morning.

The general impression of the public is that there was direct contest between Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar and BJP SAD candidate Swaran Salaria  because the AAP could not perform their role in the election campaign as no big leader of AAP came to take part in the election campaign  e4xcept Sukhbir Khaira and Bhagwan Mann
