16th CBSE Cluster Kabaddi Turnament Organised By Dips Dhilwan Is Over

Jalandhar: Today 16th CBSE-Cluster Kabaddi tournament was over at DIPS school Dhilwan. This Kabaddi Tournament started on 9th October and ended on 11th October 2017. U 17 boys DIPS Mehta Chowk and Girls Dasraj Dav Public School Phillaur, under 19 boys and girls Police Dav Public School Jalandhar were the winners. On the closing ceremony, chief guest was Shri. Sandeep Kumar Sharma PPS, (SSP Kapurthala) and the special guest IPS  Gaurav Toora(DSP Bhulath)were also present. First runner-up trophy of boys under 17 Devine will Public school Amritsar and girls trophy got DIPS school Kapurthala, under 19 boys first runner-up trophy M.K.D D.A.V school Attari and girls DIPS school Dhilwan bagged the trophy.

Under 17 boys second runner-up trophy Dasraj Dav Public school & Sir Marshal school Bhalial and girls second runner-up trophy was bagged by DIPS Mehta Chowk & DIPS school Begowal. Under 19 boys second runner-up trophy DIPS Dhilwan & Greenland Convent school LUDHIANA and girls second runner-up bagged DIPS Nurmahal & GS International school . in this competition Jammu and Kashmir and from Punjab 47 schools and 77 teams participated. The Competitio was divided into two categories. In the first category u-19 boys 65 kg weight and u-17 boys 60 kg weight.

Girls teams were divided into two categories u-19 girls weight 60 kg, u-17 girls weight 55 kg. The ceremony was attended by Chairman DIPS Chain Of Institutions Sardar Gurbachan Singh, MD Sardar Tarwinder Singh, CEO  Monika Mandotra Jashandeep Singh. other than these dignitaries the ceremony was attended by Shanti Sharma Principal DIPS Dhilwan, Gurwinder Kaur Principal GB Dhilwan were present. The final match was started by the chief guest. He also encouraged all the teams and emphasized the significance of sports and games in a student’s life. As these competitions prepare them to face all challenges with optimism and accept all situations.
