Veterinary Varsity Youth festival starts with colours of Fine Arts events

LUDHIANA: 8th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana started with fine arts events. Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Student’s welfare was the Chief Guest in the inaugural session. He said that youth festivals are appropriate medium of internal expression of students. We are providing good facilities to students to improve their performance. 

  

Participants were also in high spirits. Nidhi Sharma, Organizing secretary of festival said that in first day competitions there were three events, Photography, Poster making and Cartooning. Total 13 students participated in Photography competition, 12 in Poster making and 08 students in Cartooning. The Subject for the Photography competition was ‘Life in the Mist’, for Poster Making subjects were ‘Youth Festival’ or 'Pollution' and for Cartooning, the topic was ‘G.S.T’. 

 

In the afternoon session Dr. Harish Kumar Verma, Director Extension Education and Dr. Sushil Prabhakar, Registrar was graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Three colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, School of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated alongwith affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar and Baba Hira Das ji College of Veterinary Pharmacy, Badal participated in the events. Dr. N K Sood President, Dance Drama and Music Club of GADVASU said that Clay Modeling and Collage making competitions will be held on 10.11.2017 at same venue, Examination Hall of College of Veterinary Science.
