Khalsa Schools Celebrate Children Day

AMRITSAR: All the five schools under the Khalsa College Governing Council today celebrated `Children Day’ at their respective campuses with enthusiasm. The children presented colourful shows and resorted to fun and frolics apart from seminars and talks on the life of India’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru whose birth anniversary is celebrated as Childern Day.

 

  

Khalsa College Public School, Khalsa College Senior Secondary School, Khalsa College Girls Senior Secondary School, Khalsa College International Public School and Khalsa College Public School, Heir organized special programs in which the students exhibited their talents. The students from the poor strata of society were given uniforms, kits and shoes at Khalsa College Senior Secondary School from the donations by the Sunshine Youth Club.

 

KCGC honourary secretary RMS Chhina said that the day also reminds about the great sacrifices made by Sahibzadas of tenth Guru Gobind Singh Ji who laid their lives for the protection of their basic human rights of right to religion and adopting the path of truth and righteousness and raising voice against the cruelties of all kinds. ``The children are the future of any country and we must take a pledge to save out children to save the future of nation’’, said Chhina.

 

Principals Nirmal Singh Bhangu, AS Gill, Tejinder Kaur Bindra, SK Sandhu and Gurinderjit Kaur gave messages in each of the schoolsasking the children to adopt the culture of service and kindness in their lives to become good obedient citizen.
