Rs.50000 fine imposed on "MORE" Store for selling substandard 'dalcheeni' in Nawanshahr

Nawanshahr: Additional Deputy Commissioner( General) cum Adjudicating Officer ( Food Safety) has imposed fine amounting to Rs.89000 on as many as 14 grocery, sweet shops, restaurants, Ice cream factory, dairies, milkmen etc. for selling substandard food items in Nawanshahr district.
 
Out of which, the fine amounting to rs.50,000 has been imposed on the " MORE" store situated at Old Court Road, Nawanshahr for selling substandard 'dalcheeni'. Giving details, Manoj Khosla, Assistant Commissioner( Food) said that the raids had regularly been conducted by the Food safety team comprising Food Safety Sangeeta Sehdev and Rakhi Vinayak in the district. Earlier, fines amounting to Rs.4,72,200 has been imposed on the errant shopkeepers. As many as 128 cases are pending in the court of ADC, he further added.
