National School Games: Punjab girls team emerges runners-up

6 players chosen for the national school team

*  Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary congratulates the team

 CHANDIGARH: The Punjab U-17 girls hockey team of Punjab took the runners-up spot in the 63rd National School Games which concluded at Ambala today. With this achievement under its kitty, the Punjab team also got chosen for the 'KHELO INDIA' programme and 6 of its players got selected for the Indian National School team.
 

The Punjab Education Minister,  Aruna Chaudhary has extended her congratulations to the team and the coaching staff for this shining achievement. Expressing happiness at the selection of the 6 girls for the National team, the minister extended personal congratulations to them and hoped that these players would become the shining stars of the National team in future. The minister also congratulated the team coach Mr. Gurinder Singh Sangha besides manager Harvinder Kaur.
