Follow footsteps of Baba saheb Ambedkar for carving out an egalitarian society- Jalandhar DC

Pays homage to Chief architect of constitution on his mahaparinirvan diwas

 Jalandhar: Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today called upon the people to follow the path shown by Bharat Ratan Baba Saheb Dr BR Ambedkar to carve out an eglaterien society.


Paying rich tributes to Dr. Ambedkar on his mahaparinirvan Diwas here at the District Administrative Complex today, the Deputy Commissioner described him as a great scholar, jurist, economist, social reformer and a statesman. He said that Dr Ambedkar was one of the most towering personalities in the entire world history. Sharma said that this great messiah of weaker sections was one of the most learned personalities in the world and had around 50,000 books in his personal library.

 

The Deputy Commissioner said that though Dr. Ambedkar hailed from a humble family but his outstanding contribution has brought him in the league of global leaders. He said that Indian Constitution was the result Dr. Ambedkar’s hard work, dedication and farsightedness adding that Babasaheb was not only leader of weaker sections but he was the leader of entire humanity. Sharma said that besides framing the constitution, Dr Ambedkar also laid the foundation of Reserve Bank of India. Above all, he was a true votary of empowerment of women.


Exhorting the people to follow the path shown by Dr. Ambedkar, the Deputy Commissioner said that it would be the real tribute to this great son of soil.  Sharma said that all of us should make dedicated efforts for carving out an egalitarian society for securing justice and equality for all the sections of society rising above the petty considerations of caste, colour and creed.The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Jasbir Singh, Madan Lal Gill, Dhyrodhan Lal, Kuldeep Singh, Rajiv Mehta, Rubi Balim, Rajinder Kumar, Gurdeep Singh, Madan Lal, Baljinder, Tarsem, Bhupinder Singh, Pawan Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Amarjit Singh, Prem and other.
