Forty-one days on, Jago Sangha murder accused still at large

Nurmahal: Forty-one days after the crime, the Nurmahal police have failed to arrest the accused murdering ex-sarpanch of a village.

The police have booked Satindar Kaur a resident of Jago Sanga village, her son Sukhwindar Singh,Lakhwindar Singh a resident of the same village and Sucha Singh a resident of Uggi village in Nakodar under section 302 of the IPC.

Kulbir Singh a resident of Jago Sanga village has complained to the police that the accused barged into their house on June 12afternoon and started beating his brother Gurpal Singh alias Pala who managed to free himself from the accused and ran outside but fell and died on the spot. He said his brother died due to the beating by the accused.

Station house officer Surjit Singh said that raids are being conducted to nab absconding accused.
