Villager arrested for brewing illicit liquor

Nakodar: The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a villager for brewing illicit country-made liquor. Uggi police post-in-charge and investigating Officer HarpalSingh said that20 kg lahann (raw liquor) and 5 bottles of hooch and utensils for brewing were seized from the accused, identified as Paramjit Singh alias Pamma a    resident of Fateh Pur village.   A case under Sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.

The police also arrested Balwindar Singh a resident of Mohalla Ravidass Pura with 15 bottles of hooch.

The Lohian Khas police arrested Tarsem Singh a resident of Mandala Chhanna village with 9 bottles of hooch, said investigating officer Kulwindar Singh.
