People of state must prefer to elect Sarpanches unanimously in upcoming elections- AAP

AAP core committee to aware people about panchayat elections- Principal Budhram

 CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday appealed to the people of state to elect the representatives in rural elections unanimously.

In a press statement issued from party headquarters, core committee head Principal Budhram said that Congress and Akali Dal have used the people of state for their political gains. Both the parties have have failed to provide basic facilities to the people in last 70 years.

  Principal Budhram said that till the time people will keep on fighting with each other on patty political issues the rural areas of state will never get the required facilities. He said that it is the need of the hour to elect young and educated people unanimously for the betterment of the society. He said that AAP advocated the unanimous way of election in panchayat elections so that the differences between village people must be resolved.

Principal Budhram said that AAP MPs Bhagwant Mann and Prof. Sadhu Singh have already announced that a grant of Rs. 5 Lakhs will be given to the village that would elect the sarpanch unanimously. He appealed to the state govt. to effectively implement the scheme of state govt. providing grant of Rs. 2.5 Lakhs to each panchayat adopting unanimous way of election. He also appealed to the Rajya Sabha members from state to announce grant of 5 lakhs each to such villages.

Principal Budhram said that AAP will start a campaign to aware people about the importance of upcoming rural elections. The party will ensure that the village people donot agree to elect the sarpanch unanimously then people must vote for the educated candidates and having clean image.
