Armed Forces Flag Day celebrated

LUDHIANA: -Armed Forces Flag Day was celebrated at Ludhiana today. On this day, our fellow countrymen remember the sacrifices made by our army personnel for our country and donate huge amounts of funds under Armed Forces Flag Day fund for the families of our martyrs, army personnel disabled during the war and for war widows. This day is celebrated every year on December 7.

     

While speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Agrawal appealed to all district residents to wholeheartedly donate for the fund. On this occasion, District Sainik Welfare Officer Col (Retd) G S Boparai tied the flag to him. several others were also present. Deputy Commissioner also released a special issue on World War-1 centenary `Ran Yodhe 2017-18`.
