Stage set for oath ceremony of newly elected members of Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and the Zila Parishad

NAKODAR (JALANDHAR)- The stage was all set for district level function to administer oath of office to the newly elected members of Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and the Zila Parishad at the New Grain Market, Nakodar on Friday (January 11). 


The Officers of district administration led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal today gave final touch to the arrangements for the mega event which would be presided over by the Education Minister Punjab OP Soni. Jorwal said that all the arrangements for the event have been made to ensure that this mega event was a huge success. He said that all the modalities regarding parking, food   and others for the event has already been made.


The Additional Deputy Commissioner further said that for the facilitation of the elected representatives coming for taking the oath earmarking of the separate blocks has been done. He said that all the members of Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti from district would be seated in one block whereas those from Panchayats would be seated in different blocks earmarked by the authorities.


Jorwal said that the officers have been directed to make sure that their staff performs their duty diligently for smooth conduct of event.


Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Superintendent of Police Gurmeet Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrates Paramvir Singh, Amit Kumar Panchal, Sanjiv Sharma and Ms. Navneet Kaur Bal,Assistant Commissioner Himanshu Jain, Deputy Superintendent of Police Parminder Singh, District Development and Panchayat Officer Ajay Kumar, Tehsildars Aaditya Gupta, KS Bhullar and Inderdev Singh Minhas and others were present.
