Man booked for cheating, criminal conspiracy

SHAHKOT:  The Shahkot police have booked a man on the charges of breach of trust, cheating and criminal crimination.

Investigating officer(IO) Bhupindar  Singh said that the accused has been identified as Iqbal Singh a resident Parjian Kalan village.

Ashwani Kumar  a resident of Basti Nau Jalandhar complained to Jalandhar (rural ) senior superintendent of police that the accused signed an agreement with him in 2012 to sell 8 kanals and 14 marlas land a received an amount of Rs 10 lakhs  from him  as earnest money and did not registered sale deed as he could not clear land from bank loans and thus cheated him .  

IO said that a case under sections 406(breach of trust), 420(cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry and further investigations are on.
