6th World Congress on Nano-Medical Sciences: MRSPTU Pharmacy professor and Ph.D. Scholars shine by winning best research poster awards

BATHINDA: Associate Professor Dr. Amit Kumar Bhatia  and two Ph.D. scholars Neha Bajwa and Preet Amol Singh from the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda have brought laurels to the University by winning three best research poster awards at 6th World Congress on Nano-Medical Sciences held at Vighyan Bhawan, New-Delhi recently.

        

The conference recognized by International Society of Nano Sciences and American Chemical Society was organized by Jamia Hamdard and University of Delhi on the theme “Chemistry Biology Interface: Synergistic in New Frontiers and Sciences and Technology for the Future of Mankind”. During the event, about 490 scientific abstracts from 20 different countries were considered in the program.

       

Dr. Amit Bhatia has presented his work entitled “Efficient drug delivery of an anti-cancer drug through flexible nano-vesicles”. Similarily Ph.D. Scholars Neha Bajwa and Preet Amol Singh have presented their work on “Self-double emulsified drug delivery system of pyrostigmine bromide augmented permeation across CACO-2 cells and Novel bilayered formulation for sequential release of desmopressin acetate and tolterodine: An effective way to manage nocturnal enuresis” respectively. Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology in a very short span have managed to mark its presence both at national and international level by providing advanced research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

     

MRSPTU, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, department Head   Prof. Ashish Baldi guided the winners and congratulated them for their spectacular achievements as out of total 10 awards, 3 best awards are won by the department. He further added that department is fully equipped to challenge global issues concerning the field of pharmacy.

       

While congratulating the winners for bringing laurels to the university, Vice Chancellor and Register, Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and Dr. Jasbir Singh Hundal respectively also expressed vicarious pleasure to the winners during interaction and emphasized that participation in reputed conferences broadens the knowledge base and equips an individual to understand global problems concerning the respective field and counter the same with scientific rationale.
