Two notorious criminals arrested from Delhi from local Wadala chowk

JALANDHAR: Cracking down heavily on the gangsters involved in the Nehru garden shoot out the case, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police today arrested three other persons, with a notorious crime record, involved in the murder of a youth during the shoot out.

Divulging more details, the Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that during the investigation of the case it has come into light that prime accused in the case Gopi Bajwa was supplied weapon for the crime by Sukhwinder Pal Singh alias Goldy who was a notorious criminal of the city and was wanted by Police in several cases. He said that even in one case of planning for robbery the accused have been declared a proclaimed offender. Mr Bhullar said that after the shoot out they have got inputs that these criminals have managed to sneak out of the city towards Delhi.

The Commissioner of Police said that consequently various teams of the Police were constituted for nabbing the culprits. He said that two accused Sukhwinder Pal Singh alias Goldy and Vikas Kalyan were arrested by Police party from Madan Mohan Malviya road whereas their third accomplice Abhinandan Sharma Nandu has been arrested from Wadala chowk. Mr Bhullar said that all the three were having crime record and have cases pending against them regarding the attempt to murder, planning for robbery, NDPS, Arms Act and others.

The Commissioner of Police said that Goldy was also a prime suspect in assault on a Shashi Sharma, which took place a few weeks back. Mr Bhullar said that the Police has recovered a 7.65 mm pistol, seven cartridges and a magazine from Goldy. He said that further investigations in the case were going and the remaining culprits would also be nabbed soon.

The Commissioner of Police also reiterated that stern action would be taken against the people who try to take law in their hand. He said that the Commissionerate Police was firm in its resolve to maintain peace, law and order at every cost.
