Majithia playing politics of lowest level by taking political mileage out of farmer Budh Singh's plight & trying to buy him

Akali leader owes an answer as to why he gave Rs. 3.86 lakh to Budh Singh whose actual debt is Rs 1.76 lakh

How could Majithia claim moral high ground & ask for resignation of others when faced with drug smuggling allegations himself on which he never resigned

CHANDIGARH: The Cabinet Minister, Punjab, S.  Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has today again challenged the YAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia to show the details of donation in public domain given to farmer Budh Singh if the akali leader claims that the money was from lawful source failing which he should face ED investigation.

S. Randhawa also stated that he demanded the investigation from ED as Majithia is not part of the government and failed to disclose the source from which he had given this money.

Exposing conspiracy by Majithia for getting sympathy and emotional support by taking advantage of such a delicate issue, S. Randhawa added that it is also significant to bring in public domain that why majithia gave Rs. 3.86 lakh to the farmer when as per the records the loan amount was only Rs 1.76 lakh. All this points out to a devious game by majithia to buy the voice of the farmer Budh Singh. The Cabinet Minister also said that majithia must explain the source of money.

S.  Randhawa also added that besides this the akali leader must explain to people of his own constituency that why he picked a farmer out of other area and could not find any family to help in his own constituency. S.  Randhawa added that these actions of Majithia indicated that how he deceived people of his constituency only for political gains.

The Cabinet Minister also said that by using money for furthering his political ends is clearly indicative of the fact that with money power majithia wanted to buy democracy which is not possible in the country. He said that money and muscle power had been misused by Akali Dal in the last 10 years that that's why the people of Punjab had thrown them out of power but it appeared that no lesson has been learnt by them. He further added that the government had already taken the loan scheme under process.

Coming to the issue of the resignation demand raised by Majithia, S. Randhawa said that Majithia must remember those days when he was facing serious allegations of drug smuggling but Badal clan had gone hammer and tongs to save him and he never offered to resign.

 S. Randhawa further elaborated that it is also important to tell the people of Punjab that the then Jail minister Sarwan Singh phillaur was a scape goat to save majithia's skin and forced to resign from the government where as Phillaur did not have any role and his son Damanvir Phillaur's name had been cropped up which was too under investigation.

The Congress leader also said that majithia's political conspiracy is not hidden anymore as Phillaur had clearly stated in Supreme Court petition that he was falsely implicated in the case with political vendetta. Subsequently, Phillaur had got major relief by getting stay on trial in ED cases.

S.  Randhawa said that he did not understand how could the person who was then under ED lens for drug smuggling did not even offer his resignation, demand his (Randhawa's) resignation when he demanded ED investigation into disbursal of money/Bribing to the farmer in which akali leader failed to tell source of money.

S.  Randhawa stated that as a minister, he can demand investigation and it is duty of ED agency to prove the charge and if Majithia too realises that he made a mistake by circumventing  the government process in loan waiving, he should prove the source of money otherwise he (Randhawa)  would ask the agency to grill him to get source of money as he was facing serious allegations of being into drug smuggling and being in cahoots with the other mafias such as mining and liquor.
