Badals shedding crocodile tears over DA/unemployment issue: AAP

In a statement issued from the party headquarters in Chandigarh here on Monday, chairman of Punjab Core Committee and Budhlada MLA Principal Budhram ridiculed the decision of Badal, saying that while in the saddle for a decade, he had failed to mitigate the sufferings of the hapless employees in the state and that now he was shedding crocodile tears over the issue to win some brownie political points.

Attacking the government for its decision to launch a stir, Budhram said that the due to indifferent attitude of the government that 19 per cent of the total balance payment on account of DA from July 1, 2015, to December 31, 2016, stood against the period of SAD-BJP tenure. Interestingly, Parminder Dhindsa was then Finance Minister of the state.

Budhram asked why wasn’t the bill 2016 proposed to be implemented to ameliorating the lot of a major chunk of Ad hoc, contractual, daily wage, and outsource employees was not implemented during their tenure in power.

Speaking on the pay commission, he said the then government slept over the implementation of the recommendation of the pay commission and now woke up to raise their voice against the non-implementation of the 6th pay commission, depriving the employees of their genuine rights. He said that he would raise the issue on the floor of the house.
