Sub-division level Job Fairs in district Ludhiana from February 13 onwards: Deputy Commissioner

LUDHIANA: Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal today informed that under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana, seven Sub-Division level Job Fairs would be organised in district Ludhiana from February 13 onwards, through which the district administration aims to provide employment to thousands of unemployed youth of the district.

Agrawal informed that the first job fair (on February 13) would be organised at Government ITI, Gill Road, here. Two job fairs would be organised on February 16 at Swami Ganga Giri College, Gondwal near Raikot and at Government ITI Girls in Samrala.

On February 17, two Job Fairs would be organised at Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Jagraon and at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Payal, while on February 22, two Job Fairs would be organised at Gulzar Group of Institutes Khanna and at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana.

The Deputy Commissioner has already issued necessary directions to the concerned officials and has urged them to ensure a maximum number of youth attend these job fairs so that maximum jobs are provided to them. He said that the youth can get themselves registered for these job fairs through the portal, www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in. He informed that apart from Ludhiana based companies, representatives from other companies of the state would also participate during these job fairs.

While urging the youth, the Deputy Commissioner said that the youth should take full advantage of these job fairs as several reputed companies are willing to provide employment to them.
