LUDHIANA: Youth Akali Dal strongly condemned the gangrape with a 20-year-old girl in Ludhiana and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh over law and order situation in the state. Youth Akali Dal district president Meetpal Singh Dugri said that the gangrape with a 20-year-old girl has exposed the law and order situation in the state but Chief Minister has no concern for the safety and security of people.

Meetpal Singh Dugri said that Police is busy in duties of Congress leaders and has no concern for law and order situation in the state. He said that crime incidents were happening in Ludhiana and other districts of Punjab but the government and Police have closed its eyes.

Meetpal Singh Dugri said that it was shameful that the friend of the victim has informed police timely but the police acted on the complaint on next day. To hide their negligence, Police officials have taken action against ASI but action should be taken against senior officials.

The Youth Akali Dal demanded that the Chief Minister who is holding the portfolio of the Home department should own the responsibility and take action against the guilty officials. The party also demanded the arrest of culprits within no time and strict punishment should be given.
