Innocent Hearts Conducts various activities During the Voter Awareness Drive

JALANDHAR: In accordance with the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar, Innocent Hearts (GMT, Loharan, CJR and RW) conducted a number of activities as per the ‘SVEEP ACTION PLAN’. A special assembly was held in each school during which the students were explained the importance of the ‘Right to Vote’.

These activities were conducted regularly before the commencement of the examination. Rallies were taken out by each school with the banner “Vote India Support India”. In addition to the Incharges, the helping staff was also assembled together and explained the importance of their vote. The students participated in Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competitions related to the voting process.

The children participated in these activities with full enthusiasm with each vying to be the best. The students were made to understand that each one’s vote is very important for the ideal selection of leaders and for the progress of the nation. It was stressed that they must encourage their parents to take active part in the voting process and also spread the word in society.

They were told that even though they were unable to vote as they had not yet attained the age of 18 years yet they could play their part by raising the enthusiasm to vote in the people around them. The winners of the poster making and slogan writing competitions were awarded certificates.
