Navratri and Baisakhi Celebration at The Nobel School

JALANDHAR: As the Navratri festival marks the victory of Maa Durga over the demon Mahishasur  and celebrates the victory of good over evil,  Baisakhi  welcomes  the Harvesting season in Punjab. It is the symbol of prosperity and wealth for our country. Navaratri celebrations are on full swing across the country.

So, in order to seek the blessings of Maa Durga and  to express the feeling of joy and happiness of the farmers , the Nobelians celebrate the colourful and auspicious occasion by organising  the Bhangra, Garba and Dandiya Raas dance. Little Nobelians from Grade Nursery to Grade Prep  came all dressed up in the traditional Garba and Punjabi attires.

The celebration was started with Modelling  presented by the tiny tots. The students enjoyed a lot on the music, rhythmic beats and matched the mood of festivity. Their joy while playing the Dandiya and dancing on ‘tere kanak di raakhi mundeya’ and Dhol beats knew no bounds. Everyone danced to the tunes of traditional Punjabi and dandiya songs. The students were told about the importance of nine- days of the Navratri and about baisakhi  which is marked as Thanks giving day for the farmers.

Everyone cheerup by saying `Jatta Aayi Baisakhi’.   The Honorable chairman Prof .C.L. Kochher , Managing Director Er. Kumar Shiv Kochhar, Manager Sh.Kapil Sharma, Principal Meenakshi Mehta   appreciated the performance of little Nobelians . the staff members associated with this activity were Charu, Kiran, Sweety, Suman, Neha and Kulbir.
