JALANDHAR:  A group of 11 young theater artists from Junoon Theater Group staged a play named ‘Rehman Ke Joote’ at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus.

The students and staff of CT Group remained glued to their seats as the play beautifully depicted the old belief that it’s the time to move on when your shoes lie overlapped. Telling more about the play, Director Sunny Akki said, “The play is quite meaningful and clearly shows that the old belief is quite true that a person will go far away if his shoes are overlapped. But, it also says that what a person thinks in imagination is far away from reality. Our real life is quite different than our dreams.”

Directed by Sunny Akki and Written by Gulzar, the play was enacted by budding artists namely Gaurav Bhagat who played the character of Ali, Pooja Khurana who played the role of a mother, Sunny Akki played the role of a father, Diksha enacted the role of Jeena whereas Nikita, Smriti, and Sakshi played the role of her friends whereas Karan Kumar narrated the whole play and Sunny Akki played the role of Rahman along with the direction of play.

Managing Director Manbir Singh appreciated the efforts of the young and energetic team and motivated them to stage such meaningful plays in future too.
