LPU preparing IT Students to become top Cyber-Security Experts: Collaborates with American ‘CompTIA’

US based ‘Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)’ provides IT workforce certification ‘Cyber-Security Analyst (CySA+) programme to innovative students

 JALANDHAR: Pulsing fully that regularly advancing technology is dominant in all field, Lovely Professional University (LPU) keeps on adding globally accepted career enhancing certification programmes for its students. On these lines, LPU has collaborated today with US based ‘Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)’ to provide an IT workforce certification ‘Cyber-Security Analyst (CySA+) programme to its students. The programme applies analytics to networks & devices for preventing, detecting and combating cyber-security threats. This learning will lead LPU students to become top cyber-security experts and rule the global IT industry.

For this important collaboration; Chief Technology Evangelist Dr James Stanger; Vice President (Asia Pacific) Mr Dennis Kwok; Regional Director (India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh) Mr Pradipto Chakrabarty; and, Head of Academic Alliance Mr Varun Sud, all from CompTIA, were present for MoU signing ceremony at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the University. LPU Executive Dean Dr Lovi Raj Gupta and Registrar Dr Monica Gulati represented LPU.

Addressing the students, Dr James Stanger informed: “IT industry is booming, and it needs innovative students’ help. Whether you’re just starting your IT career or climbing the ranks of the IT industry, with ‘CompTIA’, you can do it all. Our certifications make sure that your skills are a match for whatever IT future lies ahead.” In fact, technology is ranked as the number one source of the US jobs, and the number of open IT positions is expected to increase 17% by 2022. From banking to manufacturing, social media to mobile phones; technology is everywhere, and so are career opportunities. Special certifications make students’ skills stand out in a sea of resumes so that one can jumpstart one’s IT career. 

One of the IT industry's top global trade associations-‘CompTIA” issues professional certifications for IT industry. CySA+ is the only cyber-security analyst certification with performance-based questions covering security analytics, intrusion detection and response. It is the most up-to-date security analyst certification that covers advanced persistent threats in the current cyber-security environment. Carrying the motto "Advancing the Global IT Industry", ‘CompTIA issues vendor-neutral professional certifications in over 120 countries. It releases over 50 industry studies annually to regularly track industry trends and changes.
