Man arrested for stealing wheat

NURMAHAL: The Bilga police have arrested a man on the charge of stealing wheat from a house.

Investigating officer(IO) Manoj Kumar said that the accused has been identified as Kuldeep Singh alias Mithu  a resident of Mao Sahib village.

Mukesh Kumar a resident of grain market Phillaur complained to the police that he has a commission shop at Partabpura grain market. He said that on April 14 two motorcycle-borne persons tried to load wheat bags on a two-wheeler and when he raised an alarm they tried to flee but one of them was caught who told his name as Kuldeep Singh alias Mithu and his accomplice Paramjit Singh alias Pappy a resident of Mao Sahib village managed to flee on motorcycle .

IO said a case under section 379(theft) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted to nab absconding accused.
