Ludhiana: Denying all the allegations levelled by SAD and calling them absolutely baseless, Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal said the Government College for Girls had an objection as the students had an exam on Friday and nowhere was the district administration involved. Showing the copy of permission given by GLADA on May 14, Agrawal said there was no direct communication between him and the party and the concerned ARO had granted all the permissions.

Regarding pamphlets being distributed, Agrawal said that as it is election time, pamphlets are being distributed everywhere and he is not aware of any such pamphlets being distributed in Lodhi Club. "I will still mark an inquiry to go deep into the issue if they demand," he said. The DC added that as many as 863 requests have been received from various parties seeking permissions to hold public meetings, road shows or rallies. A total of 799 of these have been granted permissions purely on merit, including 320 to SAD in district Ludhiana.

He further said that all such VVIP functionaries prog are received through GAD ( Punjab GOVT ) or SPG ( security incharge unit of VVIP) well in advance . But no such prog has been received by district administration
