JALANDHAR: Keeping in view the thought of experiential learning, the election process of 17th Lok Sabha Elections was brought into practice at CT World School wherein students learned about the voting system and the complete electoral process, nominated their own candidates and casted their vote for the right candidate.

Students witnessed the complete process including debate, ballot boxes, counting and the declaration of results. The entire Electoral Process was upheld in front of the school. The excitement and anxiety could be read not only amongst students, but even amongst educators as well.

Students turned politicians were totally immersed into their characters and confidently showcased their manifesto which involved major concerns of the society like abolition of child labour, ICT education, women safety and empowerment.

The focus of this enactment was to enlighten and educate the future voters about the importance of vote, to train them in the electoral process and encourage them to ensure the adults around them exercise their franchise. Future voters were happy while displaying their inked finger and promised to cast a vote in future.

Madhu Sharma, Principal CT World School appreciated the efforts of students and the staff and remarked that learning a process this way always turns out to be fruitful as it not only teaches life skills to the young minds but it’s also a fun to be part of such practice.
