Unidentified vehicle driver booked for death by negligence

NURMAHAL: The Nurmahal police have booked an unidentified vehicle driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.

Dilbag Singh son of Pritam Singh a resident of Punian village under Shahkot police station complained to the police that his brother Ajit Singh was posted as manager cooperative bank Nurmahal. He said that he received a phone call from his brother’s mobile handset that Ajit Singh has been hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Bhalowal –Kot Badal Khan link road near a bridge and has been seriously injured and rushed to Bilga Primary Health Centre(PHC).

Dilbag Singh said that when he reached Bilga PHC his brother was no more.

Investigating Officer Harnek Singh said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(ash driving on a public road) and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against unidentified vehicle driver.
