More than a year after the Phillaur judicial magistrate (first-class) ordered a reinvestigation into suicide by a Nurmahal family and dismissed the closure report the Nurmahal police has appointed an investigating officer to hold a fresh probe. Police station munshi said that reinvestigation is yet to start as a petition has been filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court by former SHO Shivdev Singh Kahlon which will come up for further hearing on November 19.
