The Shahkot police have booked three villagers on the charge of attempt to commit culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Investigating officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as Jaijy and Manpreet Singh alias Banti residents of Bau Pur village and Kaku a resident of Ram Pur village.
Sunil Kumar a resident of Ganga Nagar district of Rajasthan complained to the police that the accused andtheir many unidentified accomplices waylaid him and his colleagues and attacked them with weapons and injured them
IO said a case under sections 110(attempt to commit culpable homicide not amounting to murder) 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) 126 (2) (wrongful restraint) 190 and 191 (unlawful assembly and rioting) have been registered against the accused and there many accomplices.
