Two travels agent booked for duping Lohian villager     of Rs 5 Lakhs

 

NAKODAR

 The Nakodar City   police have booked two travel agents for allegedly duping a Lohian villager of Rs 5 lakhs on the pretext of sending him abroad.

Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Onkar Singh Brar said that the accused have been identified as Lakhwindar Singh son of Gurpal Singh a resident of Sagar Pur village under Nurmahal police station and Kulwindar Singh alias Saabi son of Parkash Chand a resident of ward no 8 Lohian Khas.

 

Jarnail Singh a resident of Badali village under Lohian Khas police station complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) that he paid Rs 5 lakhs to the accused for facilitating his migration to US, but he was not sent abroad not returned the money.

 

 DSP said that a case under sections, 316(2) (breach of trust) ,318(4) (cheating) of the BNS and section 13 of the Travel Profession Regulation Act has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
