The Shahkot police have arrested a migrant on the charge of murdering his wife.
Shahkot Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said that the accused has been identified asMunna Kanti alias Abhishek Kumar (30) son of Radhe Kanti a native of Bihar State who had murdered his wife, Rani Kumari at Kotli Gajran village .
Jarnail Singh a resident of Kotli Gajran village had complained to the police that he has provided shelter to a couple at his well due to cold whether on December 4 and gave them bed including Rajayees.
Jarnail Singh said he visited his well on December 6 morning and found dead migrant woman who has signsof injuries on her head and migrant along with his two children fled way after committing the crime. Jarnail Singh said the accused beat to death his wife as both were used to fight with each other using filthy language.
DSP said a case under section 103(murder) of the BNS was registered against the accused who has confessed his crime.
