The Lohian Khas police have arrested a person on the charge of raping a minor.
Investigating officer (IO) Inspector Seema said that the accused has been identified as Suraj Verma son of Rajindar Kumar a resident of Talwandi Chaudharian village in Kapurthala.
Father of the victim complained to the police that the accused assaulted her minor daughter and forcibly raped her and continued to harass her after committing the crime.IO said a case under section 64(rape)of BNS and section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act -2012 has been registered against the accused.
