Jalandhar (rural) police Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)H. S.Virk said that Jalandhar Rural police on Wednesday took necessary measures to further strengthen peace and law and order during the upcoming elections. In view of these elections, strict compliance of the guidelines issued by the Election Commission has been ensured and carried out flag marches.
SSP said that Deputy Superintendent of Police Onkar Singh Brar (Sub-Division Nakodar), along with Palwinder Singh (SHO Nurmahal), Harminder Singh Sandhu (SHO City Nakodar), and Dilbag Singh (SHO Sadar Nakodar), and Deputy Superintendent of Police Sukhpal Singh (Sub-Division Shahkot) along with Balwinder Singh Bhullar (SHO PS Shahkot), Pankaj Kumar (SHO Mehatpur) and Gursharan Singh (SHO Lohian), Deputy Superintendent of Police Bharat Masih Ladhar (Sub-Division Phillaur) along with Aman Saini (SHO Phillaur), Sikander Singh (SHO Goraya) and Sukhjinder Singh (SHO Bilga), and Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajiv Kumar (Sub-Division Adampur) along with Rajesh Kumar Arora (SHO Adampur), carried out massive flag marches across all villages of their respective subdivisions with heavy police force.
SSP said that the primary objective of these flag marches was to ensure peaceful, fair and fear-free Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections. During the march, citizens were encouraged to exercise their right to vote without any fear and to cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and harmony. At the same time, miscreants and anti-social elements were clearly warned that any attempt to disturb law and order will invite strict legal action. Jalandhar Rural Police appealed to the public to report any grievance or information at any time on Helpline 112.
SSP said the police administration remains fully alert and is committed to ensuring public safety, peace and trust.
