The Lohian Khas police have booked four villagers on the charge of assaulting a villager.
Investigating officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as
Jagtar Singh a resident of Kala Sanghian village in Kapurthala, Amrit Pal Singh a resident of Dhani Puind village under Sadar Jamsher police station. Nek Baba of and Baljit Singh residents of Mallu Pur village under Shahkot police station.
Gurjit Singh, a resident of Badshah Pur same village, complained to the police that the accused barged into his house on April2 2 and attacked him with weapons and injured and threatened him with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections 115(2),333 (house trespass after preparation for assault ) ,(351(1) (criminal intimidation) and 190 and 191 (rioting and unlaw full assembly) of the BNS has been registered against the accused and their seven unidentified accomplices.
