The Nurmahal police have arrested a Nakodar village car driver on charges of rash driving and mischief.
Investigating Officer (IO) Subash Chandar said the accused has been identified as Vijay son of Lachhman Das a resident of Sidham Station Wale village under Nakodar Sadar police station.
Harpreet Singh a resident of Mohalla Kacha Pakka Veharra Nurmahal complained to the police that the accused was driving his car very fast and negligently on May 20 morning and hit his motorcycle near Gurdwara Sahib Teli and seriously injured him.
Investigating Officer said that a case under sections 281(rash driving on the public highway),125(A) ,125(B) (causing grievous hurt by endangering life or personal safety of others), and 324(4) (mischief) of the BNS was registered against the car driver.
