The Nurmahal police have arrested a mother and her son on the charges of attempt to murder and firing.
Investigating Officer (IO) Subash Chandar said that the accused have been identified as Kirandeep Kaur wife Rannjit Singh a resident of Khajurla village under Sadar Phagwara police station and her son Rajpreet Singh alias Lajarass.
Tejindar Pal Singha resident of Rajowal village had complained to the police said that Kirandeep Kaur isBhua (aunti) of his wife Sukhmandeep Kaur who did not like his love marriage.
The Complainant said the accused kidnapped his pregnant wife on May 4 and his prominent villager rescued his wife and he reached his village with his wife the accused Rajpreet and Sukhveer Singh and their accomplices attacked his house gate and damaged it used abusive and filthy language against him and fired with intention to kill him and his family.
IO said that a case under section 109(attempt to
murder)61(2) (criminal conspiracy) 333(lurking house trespass) 351(2) (criminal intimidation) 324(4) (mischief) 191(3)190(rioting) of the BNS and sections
25/54/59 /of the Arms Act was registered against the accused and added section 238(causing disappearance of evidence ) in the FIR .
